Importing tool for more detailed Robot models

Is there a plan to create an import wizard that will bring in a CAD file of a robotic platform? Say from something like SolidWorks? From what I've read it seems like a load of programming work to get 3D data in and designate it's properties.

Thanks

It isn't really programming work to import SolidWorks models, but it is a pain. I created a step-by-step how to here: https://channel9.msdn.com/wiki/default.aspx/Channel9.SimulationImportTutorials

Solidworks models tend to generate very complex meshes when converted to vrml (as in the wiki tutorial), especially if the models have lots of internal geometry. If you end up with speed issues you can edit the vrml down considerably, im not sure if there is an automated way to do this, last time i had the problem i just paid a 3d artist to remodel my parts, and got something like 85% mesh size reduction for no visible loss of quality.
