Humanoid robot in MS Robotics Studio

Hi there!

Some of you may already know this project from the channel9 Sandbox, for all others a quick introduction...
We - the Doh!Bots (www.dohbots.com) - are a student team from the Dortmund University building our own soccer-playing humanoid robot. Although we had great past with the AIBOs as the Microsoft Hellhounds (www.microsoft-hellhounds.com), we decided to start almost from scratch with a humanoid robot. So we did. In about 6 months we built an humanoid robot from single brackets and servos, made some other hardware stuff, started to write a new framework for it and furthermore - a new simulator.
I'm that guy responsible for the simulator.

By now, I created a robot model of our real bot (the screenshots were already presented) and few days ago I finished the next milestone of the simulator developement: connection to the robot code.
It means, that we are able to run the same code as well on the real as on the simulated robot.
The great news is, that it runs without any problems, with almost no adaptation of the parameters - so we can run the 'real' walking engine on the simulated robot as well as many kinds of special actions - such as push ups, standing up, kicks and so on...

Screenshots, movies (new!) and other infos, you can find here:

Feel free to post some comments, especially, how you like the movies.

Greets,
Robert
