Many output blocks don't seem to show content

Many blocks don't show content. They appear as if they don't have any content to show.

I'm sure they are configured correctly and do have content to show.

(example: Flickr block --> Caroussel)

This issue occurs almost all the time. The mashups weren't saved yet.

I'm using Windows Vista, IE 7 and Silverlight 1.0 beta.

This behaviour occurs with Caroussel, PhotoTiles, PhotoStack, NewsReader and others.

Hi Gert,

Can you build a simple mashup like this:

Flickr [run] (you should see images of beaches)

[Add Virtual Earth]

Flickr -> Virtual Earth [run] (you should see pushpins of beaches)

[Delete Virtual Earth]

[Add PhotoTiles]

Flickr -> PhotoTiles [run] (you should see images of beaches in a tile)

Don't change any of the default parameters.

Do you get images for any of these? Or any errors?

Also, are you running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista (and 64-bit IE 7)?

Hello,

Thanks for your quick response.

Right now, everything seems to be working fine.

I'm running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista.

Update: The problem still exists with the PhotoSphere. There are no error messages.

There are several possible explanations. The first is that Flickr isn't returning any photos or that it's taking a long time to return the photos, which you can check by running the Flickr block by itself and verifying the output. The second is that the Photosphere block didn't load correctly on your system, which you can address by closing all your browser windows and going back in to Popfly again. The third (and more remote) is that Photosphere is being handed an image format it doesn't understand or that the images are getting corrupted by something between your computer and Flickr.

Try closing all your browser windows and hitting Popfly again and running the Flickr block by itself.

It seems to work now.

I guess the PhotoSphere block didn't load correctly.

Thanks for your help, and allow me to say that Popfly is great! Great job!
