Using R2 EDI schemas in BTS 2006?

Is it possible to use an EDI schema that comes with BTS 2006 R2 in BTS 2006? I have heard contradicting answers to this Q.

I have looked at the :
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;840113&spid=1444&sid=200

But I am unsure as to what if anything needs to be done to be able to use the R2 schema with BTS 2006.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

My understanding is - technically you can use them.
Take in mind the EDI system debatches the EDI interchange and we have only ST* level transaction sets on the output. The Interchange and Group segments "shifts" to the context of the message.
But the schemas are the standard schemas.
The EDI system uses some "special" knowledge about they structure but they are still standard schemas.
If you mean the copyright of this schema, I don't know exactly.
If you mean the using of this schemas inside the Base EDI adapter, I don't know.

Do you mean using it to process a document in 06? Are you concerned about the copyright issues? Are you asking if you can use R2 EDI schemas with Base EDI adapter? Please clarify and I will be happy to assist you further.

Thanks

Yes you can do it. I've detailed how to do it here.
