Can't install the client components in XP SP2
Hi,
I can not install the client components in Windows XP SP2. I have Visual Studio Professional 2005, SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, office word 2007 and power point 2007 components installed. I do not deal because this happens(passes). Would these components cause the error?
The error is:
It is not possible to open this package of installation. Verify that the package exists and that you can obtain access to it; or, put in touch with the supplier of the application to verify that valid package treats itself about one for Windows Installer.

Make sure you have the newest WIndows Installer installed, if you are not sure try to reinstall it, its downloadable from the Microsoft site.

Good, I tell them that already I solved this problem. Everything seems that the error was taking produced because it had still these two vesiones, so many SQL Server 2005 Express as SQL Server 2008, still they do not coexist together...
These two versions cannot work side to side, and I say this because, to solve this problem I have had that desinstalar SQL Server 2005 Express , to remove all the components and to do an installation of SQL Server 2008 from a beginning.
It is so, the error is because tape-worm installed SQL Server 2005 Express and this was producing conflicts, I believe that Microsoft will have to solve this detail for when it liberates the final product!,
I wait it has served them, this happened to me to my, and hereby I have solved it!
