Management Studio "Katmai" - problem with fonts and colors

I have tried to change font in SQL Server Managenet Studio Katmai .

Set enviroment : Tools -> Option -> Enviroment -> Fonts and Colors - does not work .

When you're saying it doesn't work, I assume you mean that in the drop-down list the only choice you have is something Business Design related, yes? That's what I see, i.e you can not choose what you want to chnage fonts and colors for.

Yes , you are right. I cannot choose what I want to change. Only Bussines Inteligence Designers.

OK, then we're seeing the same thing. I assume this is just part of the CTP, this happened as well during the Yukon beta.

Hi Jiri,

It turns out that this was a known problem with CTP3 that appears fixed in the latest internal build. Please check out CTP4 when it rolls out.

If you really, really need to be able to set the fonts etc., you can always hack the registry.

I exported my settings from my SQL 2005 installation from HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Microsoft SQL Server/90/Tools/Shell/FontsAndColors to a reg file.

I then changed, in the .reg file, the \90\Tools to \100\Tools and imported it to my registry for my Katmai installation. Works fine, but be careful when dealing with the registry.

thank you for your help. I installed also Management Studio 2005 Express. Now I can change Management Studio between "2005" and "Kaimai" .
