MCTS Training Centers in Chennai, Coimbatore
Hi all,
I am thinking of doingMicrosoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) Certification but I am confused as there are three lanes,
Professional Developer: Web Developer
Professional Developer: Windows Developer
Professional Developer: Enterprise Applications Developer
I would like to know which lane is the best and most required.
Which type of application (Web or Windows or Enterprise Applications) is most developed in the IT industry so that I can do certification for that lane.
Please suggest me.

Hi Kannan,
The Enterprise Applications Developer comprises of both Web development skills and Windows Development skills. So, I would recommend you start with either the Web Developer certification or the Windows Developer certification and then move towards the Enterprise Applications Developer Cert.
As for the requirement, both types of applications are very much in use although the shift these days is slightly more towards Web Applications - so my advice is to start with the Web Developer credentials.

Now I am getting an idea which lane to choose, which is web development. In fact my current profile in my current organization is Perl based web application developer.
Hey Vikram do you know any certified training centers in India (Especially in Chennai). Or else how to get trained & register for MCPD examinations ?

Some of the test centers also offer training such as NIIT - you would need to check on more information on training, yourself from the center.

Hey Vikram, do you think a person going for MCP in my current case is MCPD, should take training classes or just attend the exam. I am good only when I take some training classes and do some homework

Well MCAD certification is basically for .NET v1.0 & V1.1
Where as MCPD certification is for .NET v2.0 +
