Installation hangs while installing advpack.dll in hyperthreaded processor

While trying to install our application on a hyperthreaded system,

System hangs while installing advpack.dll

OS:Windows 2000 Server

Our application isa VC++ application

Can anybody suggest what can be the reason?Is there any relation between advpack.dll and Hyperthreaded processor
