KN client for multiple moss + kn servers and..

Hi guys

we are thinking of implementing KN in our MOSS environment

1. can we have one KN Client which connects to three (MOSS + KN) servers, is it possible, we need that because one is a production environment, one is pre-prodution environment and the last one is our local developers environment....
2. is it possible to use KN over the extranet, for example our main production environment is (MOSS + KN) is in USA, and we want people to connect through KN Client from UK using there own laptops, is it possible.
3. where can i find any architecture, any system and any feature kind of diagrams and documents for (MOSS + KN)
