Commerce Administration Object error when starting CS 2007 SP 1

Hi

After upgrading to SP1 I get the following error every time CS 2007 starts:

Error in Commerce Administration Object : Description - 'The following resources are old. They will not function correctly until they are upgraded:
Product Catalog (7.2.0)
Marketing (7.1.0)

Please run the migration tool in order to upgrade them to the latest versions.'

I've run the upgrade wizard several times, it tells me it doesn't need to upgrade anything in the log so I'm a bit bemused. Same problem on both XP and 2003.

It doesn't seem to to stop anything from working but I'd like to know what's going on anyway.

Any ideas?

I am experiencing the same issue now also after having rebuilt our dev server and rebuilt the sites using a pup package.

Ditto here.

Our install sequence was:

-- Install of CS stack

-- Install of SP1

-- Install of site pup (pupped on an SP1 server)

-- Ran and re-ran upgrade wizard (log says its not doing anything) - still seeing above exceptions (only site on server)

-- Site is extremely sluggish to load (not necessarily related to the above issue, but possible)

When you the upgrade wizard for the site, do you see any Commerce Resources being listed for migration? If your pup was created on an SP1 server, you should not be seeng any resources.

The pup used to create these sites was created on an SP1 server. Please see log below from the upgrade wizard.

Thats a ditto on the performance issues also, our dev site is VERY slow now.

I also attempted to run the dwmigrate script, this script came back with a message that said "This database does not need to be migrated."

Hi there

Does anyone have any idea what to do about this above.. ? We are about to go to production and based on the above experience I think we are in trouble with SP1.

Can anyone help with this or should we just assume that SP1 is unsuitable for use.

Has anyone managed to apply SP1 then unpup a site without the above happening ?

You should probably contact product support to get this resolved, since I don't think this problem is very widespread amongst the development community.

I'm experiencing the same issues. Pupped an sp1 site and installed on production machine. Did anyone get any kind of resolution?

We did not get a resolution to this issue.

From our observations this problem with SP1 occurs when you have added or removed properties to the profiles system pre - SP1 then applied SP1, pupped the package and tried to unpup it on an SP1'ed machine.

Our workaround was to not use the pup package we created at all and rather to unpup an empty pup package (or starter site) on a pre SP1 machine, apply SP1 and only after that, manually create every custom property we added to the profile system.

Not the best solutuon I know but the only way we could get it to work. Sorry we couldn't be of more help.
