where is log file?

I am running vista x64 and virtual earth 3d will not install. The error message says to refer to the log. Does anyone know where this log file is? I looked through the event viewer and found a whole lot... but nothing concerning virtual earth 3d. Please, i dont want to use google earth.. help me get this working. The failure happens immediatly after execution of the virtual earth 3d plugin setup. Thanks a bunch
