Cannot get .Net Framework 3.5 Beta installed as part of VS 2008 Beta 2 on Windows XP Prof. SP2
Cannot get .Net Framework 3.5 Beta to install either seperately or part of the Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2 installation.
Platform: Windows XP Prof. Sp2 HP Pavilion dv2025LA T1350 Processor 1GB Ram
Tried both from DVD and also copied to a hard drive directory (with no space in the name of the directory).
Never had any VS 2008 Orcas CTP or Beta 1 on this laptop.
Did have VS 2005 with Cider Extensions with .net vista framework SDK and .Net Framework 3.0 -- uninstalled all.
.Net Framework 3.5 Beta install gets up to a little over half way -- then seems like 2 DOS command boxes flash rapidly (too rapid to read) and then goes into error message.

The install also failed at the exact same place on another Windows XP Prof. desktop PC.
Appreciate any assistance....we have a project we planned to code in using VS 2008 Beta 2.
