Problems installing service pack 1
Hello all,
I installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU. It was a trial version. I then got Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers - ENU.
I had difficulties removing the first version, in the end I deleted the folder. the error I got then was the 2716 error (the same as the one I'm getting now)
When I try to install SP1 now I get this:
Do you want to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU Service Pack 1 (KB926601) on Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU?
Ok or Cancel are the only 2 options... OK gives me the following error which has me stumped.
"the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. the error code is 2716"
I assume, that I didn't uninstall the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU correctly... what do I try and do now?
I've spent hours trying to install the SP...

I understand the problem but I don't know where to go from here to get SP1 working for me...
