Basic Mindstorms questions RCX1.0

Hey there, I am using LEGO MindStorms with an RCX1.0 robot (but RCX2 stuff seems to run on it fine). I can code in VB fine except I am very uncertain on how to get the code to the robot. I have obtained Script Editor and can put basic code on the robot that makes sound ect. However, I obtained some sample code that opens with visual studio 2005. You all my know the sample code since it is standard one I got the 'RoverBotSample'. Now my question is, how do I get the code from Visual studio on to the robot. Since I am under the impression that the only code files you can upload to the robot are RCX2 files.

Do I actually code VB in the script editor? or does the script editor just help link up the VB files or what... Sorry for being ignorant.

Any basic instructions on how to do move code to the robot would be great.
