CS2007 SP1 on BizTalk Server?

I noticed a file named "btsAdapters_sp1.msp" included with CS2007 SP1.

Should Commerce Server 2007 Service Pack 1 be installed on the BizTalk Server hosting the Commerce Server adapters?

What is this update for?

There were no code changes for the adapters in SP1. The update should just adjust the version of the product in the registry.

To update the version of the software in the registry, the update should be applied to the BizTalk server.

Brian,

CS2007 SP1 will NOT install on the BizTalk Server and errors out stating that CS2007 is not installed.

So I repeat my orginal question:

I noticed a file named "btsAdapters_sp1.msp" included with CS2007 SP1.

If not, then what is this update for?

I've only ever tried installing the SP on a machine that had both BizTalk and CS on it.

What is the error log on the BT machine?

The error in the install log said "Product Not Found".

I just heard back from the engineer who created the SP 1 packages.

Here's the reply:

The answer is actually no. CS SP1 should not be applied to a box that only has Biztalk on it. I just verified that there were no changes to any of the adapter dlls. If there was any change, SP1 is not the way to go unless CS is on the box. One would have to redeploy the commerce adapter assemblies in that case.

So I misspoke before. SP1 should not be applied to the BizTalk machine.
