Query Notification Using Through Web Service

Can SqlDependency (Query Notification) be used in a stateless model such as web services?

SQL Notification Services supports delivery via HTTP. There's even an extensibility interface you can implement ( IHttpProtocolProvider ) if you want implement custom HTTP behavior.
