TaskVision Source Repair/Uninstall/Reinstall Woes

Given the number of posts on topic it looks like there is an issue with uninstalling and/or reinstalling TaskVision source - specifically taskvisionsource 1.1.0.0.msi.

The msi apparently does not recognize the installation. If I try to remove TaskVision I get the following message:
"An exception occurred while uninstalling. This exception will be ignored and the uninstall will continue. However the application might not be fully uninstalled after the uninstall is complete -->Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Any attempt to repair yields the following:
"A previous version of TaskVision Source Code or TaskVision Server is installed, please uninstall the existing application before installing this installation."

Holy Catch 22 Yossarian!!!

Is there any possibility that a versioning conflict was introduced via the .NET Updater Component and MSI?

If so could someone:
1. Confirm that the above is a reasonable or valid assumption?
2. Post a tentative timeframe for when the next version of TaskVision may become available (and whether the uninstall/restall problems may carry over to trying to install the new version of TaskVision).
3. Post either general or specific instructions (or pointer to same) for a way to clean-up TaskVision Source?

I know it's asking a lot of "someone" -- taskvision is a great sample application and I'd like to get back to it. I'm dead in the water now and concerned that I may exacerbate things if I start hammering away indiscriminately at TaskVision registry entries. Any guidance or feedback would be welcomed. Thanks...

I too have the same proglem. WinXP SP1, .NET 1.0 Framework SP2. I've seen several posts on this forum about this very issue. Some have replies, but none of those replies addresses the issue raised above. That is not a good sign if no one is willing to respond to this very anoying problem.

Someone mentioned earlier that you could restore to a prior 'recovery point' via XP, true, but I shouldn't have to, nor do I want to at this point since that will undo other changes I've made to my system and I really don't want to have to remember what those changes were.

What is TaskVision doing to my system that it can't uninstall? Please address this issue, or at least have the courtesy to respond, please.
