Getting started and getting finished in short time

I have an urgent task that includes setting a few parameters to a crystal report file, probably created in CR 9. I only want to set a coupl of parameters and then print the report. I don′t have to display it.

I intend using VS.NET or VB6, but it seems to me that .NET is the best choice since CR is included.

How do I get started? What component/library should i use? What methods?
