VSTS 2008 Client -- Error 1305 - error reading file

I downloaded the image file for VS2008 Team System, but have run into some problems during installation.

The exact image file is: OrcasBeta2VSTSX1394647.img

When trying to install, I get a message
"Error 1305: Error reading from file C:\windows\symbols\dll\mfcm90.i386.pdb . Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

When trying to open this file in notepad (to see if I can, notepad (or the OS) gave a message that another process had a lock on the file.) I'm trying to install on Windows 2003 Server machine of which I haven't had any problems installation software on before. Using Process Explorer, the msiexec program was the only program that had a lock on this file (perhaps the file itself is corrupt? -- could hyperthreading on my computer be causing an issue?)

I think there's somewhat of a possibility that the process of burning the DVD is the underlying problem. I've been using the DVDburn program as part of the windows 2003 sdk toolkit. I tried copying all of the files from the DVD to a folder on my computer, and 1 file wouldn't copy (cab10.cab) giving a CRC data error message. I'm not sure if this is related to copy protection or was a problem that occurred when burning the DVD. Anyways I tried a 2nd burn, and same thing occurred.

If possible, I was wondering if anyone could post the cab10.cab file somewhere so I can try installating directly from the folder on my computer instead of from DVD.

Also, does anyone know if the beta is available for purchase. I know in the past they've allowed you to purchase beta products for like $10.

Thanks for any help and / or suggestions.
