Licensing specific components?

Hello,

Just trying to get a feel for this a bit more. We are investigating an approach of building our own backend for a project siimilar to this, but would still need the key generation tools that a system like this offers. The question then is, are the APIs able to be used independent of the entire system, such that we would be able to pick and choose which ones we needed to create these unique license keys within our own system? Are there any components (just another word for API?) that would provide us with that capability to be used on ther own? Would an approach using APIs in that manner work to tie into our system? Are there APIs that do create unique security keys via fingerprinting the end users machine specifics?
