MapCruncher for VE version 4, w/ PietschSoft

I am currently working on a project that uses PietschSoft(http://www.codeplex.com/PietschSoftVE3) to facilitate the communication between asp.net and the map control. The project also uses a map crunched layer to be fitted to the map.

Unfortunately, the code libraries in PietschSoft use version 4 of VE. Is there any place I could find MapCruncher compatible with the previous version of VE? As well, any hints, tips, advice, or comments regarding developing for VE and mapcruncher would be helpful.
