How can i get yourname@live.com email ID?
Please help me getmyname@live.com email ID. I tried searching every way possible but it's just not working and it feels very dissapointed to see that some people in the inital days have used the javascript and they somehow cheated the servers and made Live.com ID. Infact, they're using those ID's to send and recieve emails as well. That too all for free.
So please lemme know from where can i get the @live.com email address. I'm ready to pay for the same as well.
Thanks in advance,
Asif Jamshed.
We are investigating what it will take to open the live.com domain for email address registration. We have no set date for this, but rest assured that we will announce this event in advance and will provide a system for reservations. Please stay tuned!

What does it mean "system for reservations"? Hope you will not reserve for example test@live.com to the one who registered test@hotmail.com, this would be unfair
((
How does this system work?
I hope it will be an open registration system and that I'm fast enough to claim
alex@live.com, although that probably will be taken
How should it work? I'd love to know your opinion.

I think it should just be an open registration. Considering that some users have already got their @live.com accounts using the java script trick, it would be unfair that some are able to port their existing name@hotmail.com to name@live.com and some others not because another user already took their name with that trick.
Example:
test@hotmail.com can reserve test@live.com
test2@hotmail.com cannot reserve test2@live.com because another user took test2@live.com with the javascript trick.
An unfair thing, isn't it?
So, in my humble opinion, you should just open registrations without any reservation system or anything.
And please open them fast

we all know there isn't any problem with them since a lot of user have already taken a @live.com ID with tricks, and it works just fine
I will pass along your concerns to the team. Thanks!
This is just impossible, a lot of people are using @live.com and others @live.** domains since november 2006 (7 months!). If a new person takes the account of another person that registered with the trick, then all people (could be hundreds!) that had the email of the previous one would contact another one. Very very annoying, isn't it?
I repeat, this reservation system is just useless and impossible to make, they should just open registrations so that each one can register the address he/she wants, as long as he/she is fast enough
Please help me get a ...@live.com as soon as it becomes possible!

hey...I just went to this site to get an @live.com email address
not shere if the ins... work coz my internet is screwed up at
this time but here's what it said
How to get a Live.com ID
Go to https://accountservices.passport.net/reg.srf register an passport account with a NON-HOTMAIL/MSN email address
Sign in to http://login.live.com with your passport that you just registered.
Paste https://account.live.com/EditProf.aspx into address bar.
Edit your registered information, input your birthday (18+) and change your Country/Region to 'United States'.
Paste https://account.live.com/LoginChangeName.aspx to address bar, then your can change your passport to @live.com.
Note:
If you do not change to US (skip step four), you'll get @windowslive.com domain address
If you change to 'China', you'll get @live.cn domain address
If you change to 'Korea', you'll get @live.co.kr domain address and so on...
It seems like Windows Live Mail only works with @live.com addresses at the moment
Please note that after migrating to @live.com domain, your previous NON-HOTMAIL/MSN email address will no longer be associated with passport
Currently, it only works for NON-HOTMAIL/MSN email addresses (in Step 1)
Hope this helps...
