SSRS management tools

Without giving away all secrets, does anyone know if management tools for SSRS will be enhanced in final 2008? As an ADMIN, not WRITER, I want to manage my SSRS to its' max, and resolve issues with individual reports and performance and security.

Right now I must (1) decipher the SSRS logs, (2) decipher counters in Perfmon for SSRS and user feedback. How can I manage the server, to see what my thresholds will be for adding to SSRS farm, etc.

Security management. I want to be able to see what is going on. For example, right now I have no way of seeing what rights have been given to a particular AD account. We recently had to replace one account's usage in system with another, but I had to go folder-by-folder (including children folders because I had no idea on whereinheritancewas broken) to find that account. I cannot find the info in the dbase to query. HELP.

Please tell me 2008 is going to improve my life as a SSRS ADMIN.

These are great scenarios and I would encourage you to post your suggestions to the Microsoft Connect Site.

Unfortunately, we were not able to significantly enhance the tools in SSRS 2008. 2008 is a quick turnaround for us, especially given the amount of work we did in SP2. The bulk of our time on the server side was focused on new infrastructure for server scalability and the new hosting infrastructure (independent of IIS). Next release we definitely plan on addressing some of the areas you describe.
