As such there is no exam for becoming an MVP,. MVP is a recognition from Microsoft for your contribution to the communities on Microsoft Technologies. Contibution in the way of answering Forums on MSDN or on any other sites on the technology u r best at, publishing Howto's, blogs presenting papers etc both Offline or Online . If you have these , you can go ahead and Nominate yourself or can be nominated by anyone who is an MVP already etc. After Nominaion Microsoft will evaluate your contribution and will you give this Certificate.

you cannot nominate yourself as an MVP. MSFT or other MVP's can nominate you. These forums certainly does have the ability to recognize contributors as this place is fully of MSFT's and MVP's and besides, it's a Microsoft forums site.

Just keep participating and doing the best you can but remember, it is a challange so don't expect anything to happen immediately or fairly soon :-)

I'm sorry to intrude in this thread but I think I have a valid question. Does participation in Microsoft's newsgroups count towards this nomination?
