I have received the same message. It happens when i am in my msn mail software. I have no choice but to close the application. When i click the button to get more info. on the error message it provides the modname as seal.dll. i was told by someone that it's an msn software problem. is there a fix for this?

I’ve had a similar problem for several months now. Whenever I try to go into “Additional MSN and Hotmail e-mail accounts” under MSN email settings, MSN crashes with the problem seeming to be seal.dll. I spent 3 hours on the phone today with a couple of technicians. At first they tried to convince me that seal.dll was a spyware/malware problem, but after several reinstalls and various registry changes the 2nd technician said it was being forwarded to a higher authority, MSN. Supposedly they will get back to me. We will see.

I have a little update. MSN, level 2, customer support called yesterday. Tech1 clearly knew his stuff, it was refreshing. MSN needed to do things to my account not possible from my computer. Tech1 had me change my password to an MSN supplied password so another tech on their side could perform the magic. Tech1 then passed me off to tech2, which I surmise may have been an offshore help desk. Tech2 then proceeded to tell me the files on my computer were corrupted (translation is I would lose my critical stored emails) and instructed me to refresh my installation (start from day 1). Well, I was totally surprised when tech1 jumped right in, scolded tech2, jammed on his brakes and said he would call me right back, which he did. I would have loved to hear the remaining conversation. They tried to correct my problem on their side but some stubborn file was “locked” so they couldn’t resolve my problem at this time. They escalated my problem to Level 3 and promised to call back soon. Seems this problem has happened before, Tech1 knew all about MSN's problem related to seal.dll. More later.

I have this same problem... the MSN tech told me it was a regedit problem that I had to resolve... I called my computer guy and he said it was an MSN software issue... so...I guess I'm back at square one and will call MSN back...

A lot has happened in the last couple of days. They are still working on it. Have to give them credit for that. It seems to me that the problem is DEFINITELY on the MSN server, but I could be wrong. I wouldn’t feel bad about being wrong after all I’ve seen.

Moving to off topic posts as this is the SQL Server Reporting Services forum i.e. a product and not a service to report bugs!
