Below is the reply sent to the MAT originator, beginning Feb 24, 2007. I have found that most times emails such as these do not come from the UK, as most fiduciary agents' last names begin with "Van". We all have probably been preyed upon by Nigerian scammers and this award "stems from their African booklet". FORWARD all suspected scam to the FTC so that they can look at the properties. Get a reporting number from the FTC and work actively to stop these people. It only takes a few minutes to acqire a reporting number and forwarding spam scam takes seconds. A "President" from the Bank of Nigeria called my home before I became wise to international "inheritance from tragic accident" scamming even after I declined and have reported him numerous times. He is STILL trying to get in touch with me. Do not give out any personal information, but ask them for credentials that and our federal agencies and country of origin agencies can cross reference for legitimacy. Check the properties yourself and most times you can copy and paste to the originator whose name is NOT the person shown as the sender and surprise them with your own reply, then forward original to FTC.

DO NOT SELL MY PRIVATE INFORMATION FOR PROFIT AS EVERY ADVERTISEMENT YOU SEND LEAVES AN UNMISTAKEABLE FINGERPRINT LEADING US DIRECTLY TO YOU AND YOUR FELLOW CONSTITUENTS INVOLVED IN THIS SCHEME. I have given the federal contacts that I have been working with absolute power to prosecute all offenders involved in this type of illegal scam to the full extent of the law.
If you are a legitimate awards corporation, I would never be asked to
give personal banking information, asked to pay huge fees for
delivery, courier, handling, administration and/or insurance. I wish I had a dollar for every lottery from the UK I have won within the past three years. Consider yourselves under US Federal Investigation and have a great week."
