I'd like to know about this too. I'm trying to set up OCS2007 trial edition. I can't get it to work outside of it's own subnet. I get the 0xC3EC78D9 code when trying to set up my edge server. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks Paritosh,

I'm looking at it now. MS is still being being very indirect when it comes to answering peoples questions...I have yet to find out why my front end server service is not running. Have you had that problem?

Hi Everyone,

Any solution to the problem with RTCSRV (Front-End Server service), I had OCS 2007 Up and running till this monday but suddenly the communicator got disconnected and when i looked into the server the Front End Services were stopped, I couldnt find any helpful info over the internet.

Regards,

Hi,

You're experiencing what everyone here is experiencing...you at first have a successful load, everything is running as well as can be expected, then one day you come in and your Front End Server service won't start. No matter what you do, you keep getting the same useless error. then, when you look it up, the code refers to either LCS2005, or some other Office product...

MS is talking about releasing OCS2007 on OCT 15th...I'm not sure that's going to happen.

Personally, I think that there's a code in the main code that kills that service after about a week of service...I can't prove it, but I think it's there.
