File Sharing between WinXP and Vista
Guys,
I am having trouble file sharing over a network between a Windows XP machine and a Vista machine.
I have previously succeeded when sharing between 2 WinXP machines.
My workgroup name is the same on both machines.
Vista has file sharing enabled.
I have shared some folders on each machine.
On the respective machines I can see the folders I have 'shared.' but not actually on the other.
On my WinXP machine I can see the Vista machine name listed under my workgroup but it claims I do not have access to view anything within.
I also tried RDPing to the Vista machine but it wasn't found.
All of the above is true regardless of whether I use my Linksys ethernet router or my Sitecom wireless router (either as wireless or ethernet).
As many ideas as possible please - I've only been using Vista since Friday....
