Uninstall of WFP driver in Safe Mode w/o networking

Is it possible to do cleanup for our driver as in removing our callouts, filters, etc from within Safe Mode?

It works fine if the user picks Safe Mode with networking but not if they pick regular Safe Mode since BFE isn't running.

It doesn't seem to be possible to remove the objects without BFE running, right?

Any suggestions?

Hi Jonathan,

BFE is not running in safe mode so you cannot remove callouts and filters.

As you point out, BFE is running in safe mode with networking and the filters can be removed.

Are you concerned that the user might pick the wrong safed mode and uninstall will faill?

Hi Philippe,

I was looking for an alternative for when BFE is not running in Safe Mode. I didn't know if there was some other way to access the WFP database to remove objects.

I will have to find an alternative solution to the Safe Mode uninstall scenario since we can't expect users to always choose the one we tell them to pick.
