Corrupted response!

I have one response that appears to be corrupted in some way!

It is a "Product Upgrade" response and I had set the version filter to 1.0.0.0 - 3.3.1.0. However, the response also got mapped to the latest version (3.3.5.0). How can this be? As you can imagine, the impact of this can be quite high since customers running the latest version were told to upgrade to a version that didnt exist. As soon as I realized this I unregistered the response and sent a e-mail to Winqual support but never got a explanation.

This was several months ago, today I see that after the upgrade to the website the response is suddenly mapped to 3.3.5.0 again, despite that it is still listed as "Unregistered" in the Manage responses page. How do I get rid of this response? If any winqual admins are reading this, you can look at bucket 409386812 to see what I mean.

Kind regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

This looks like a bug. You may want to mail wer@microsoft.com for a faster response. They should be able to adjust the response fairly quickly and investigate the cause.

Thanks for catching that. We have updated the rule that was causing the problems, and you should see the update rippling out through the system as soon as the servers catch up to it. We are also looking into how it went wrong and what we can do at our end to keep it from happening.
