Unable to uncheck "warn if changing between secure and not secure mode."

I am trying to stop the security alert messages - they show up far too often, even when I click on "in the future, do not show this warning."

I click on tools, then internet options, then the advanced tab, and scroll down to "warn if changing between secure and not secure mode." I uncheck the box, but it doesn't stay unchecked. I have tried clicking "apply", "okay", "apply" then "okay", and just closing the window, all to no avail.

Does anyone know how to make this box stay unchecked? Thank you.
