VS2k5 Workflow designer is slow.
I am having a problem where the WWF designer in VS2K5 is slow. Anytime I perform an action (right click, add an activity, etc...) it takes about 15-20 seconds to happen. The Workflow (State machine) isn't very complex (3 states, and 3 events in the "Main" workflow) so I can't see that being the problem. It is a separate project in a solution (4 projects total). I also noticed that when I perform an action the vs process (devenv.exe) will use 20-35% of my cpu, and I have seen ram spike up to 110MB (usually i never see it use more than 60-70MB). Also, besides Outlook and Live Messenger, VS is the only process open on my computer. Closing VS and opening it again will fix the problem for about 2-3 minutes.
I have a dual core 2Ghz machine with 2GB ram, and a dedicated video card (running Vista), So resources shouldn't be a problem.
Both the OS and VS are fully patched
Any ideas?
