Prototyping against an Oracle Database

I was wondering if anyone had a realiztic timeframe as to when I would be able to create a working prototype of SSRS 2008 against an Oracle database. We are in the planning phase of a major reporting update and we were looking at using 2008, but if I need to start in 2005 that would be fine as well. Is this something that I will have to wait until after the first of the year? Thanks
