toshiba HD-A2 frozen

Hello everyone,
i burn a dvd-r with nero, with "no multisession" option and "xbox compatibility".
Then i use it in our Toshiba HD-A2 player, in its screen it says LOADING, for a while, and then HDDVD... but next step that should be PLAY, never comes to happen... i cannot turn it off, nor eject the disc. I have to press off button for a while in order to force the player to shut down.

Anyone else with this problem? any idea?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi RollWistler,

Maybe try these settings in Nero:

1) Open Nero Burning Rom.

2) From “New Compilation” Window scroll down to DVD-ROM (UDF) and select it.

3) Click on the Multisession tab

4) Click “No Multisession”

5) Click on the “UDF” Tab

6) In the Options combo box click on Manual settings (advanced users only)

7) In the File System version: combo box click on the UDF 2.5

8) Click New

9) Add your folders. ADV_OBJ and HVDVD_TS

10) Click Burn

When the Toshiba crashes like that we found unplug the power, turn on while holding the eject button. It doesn't always help but sometimes.

Good luck.

Thank you for the answer Denny :-), i know about the dvd-r burning thread :-).

The problem was that i used:

<timing clock="page">

<par begin="1s" end="false()">

I've changed the false() by the total length of the title and now it works perfectly.. so i used the false() value wrong or toshiba dont accept this.

I thought the A2 was not capable of playing back HD DVD on DVD-R. Has this understanding changed? If so, what are the details to get this to work?
