Need Help for x86 and 64 bit in Orcas.

I want to purchase a new laptop for development and I want to have Visual Studio Orcas in it. Now, Some here suggested me to take the laptop with 64 bit architecture because he thinks that x86 or 32 bit will extinct. now I am confused, that whether he is right or I should still go for 32 bit. Do microsoft will still be making his product on 32 bit architecture?

Please suggest.
