Video display problem while streaming

I am trying to view a video streaming in a web page. All I could see is a blank green screen instead of video. But I can hear the voice. I cleared the cache and restarted my IE a couple of times.It didnot work. the same video streaming works in my other computer. don't know what to do.

I'm facing the same problem.... but only with a few sites and streaming video....

I removed all my video codecs and reinstalled windows media player, but no avail....

Can some techie help us out plz?

this is happening to me too. seems to be when it attempts to use the windows media player embedded in a webpage. Anyone have any luck fixing this?

I reinstalled IE and then install the activex control plug-in again.Now I can see streaming videos.

I had this problem in watching program in a tamil website. when I reinstalled IE, I have to download the TVU player from the website again.

I had the same green screen when testing new installed OS...

Try to install the complete K-Lite Codec pack available for free, hope it will do the trick for you too!

Beware of those DVD creator software, sometime the really do a mess in the association of codecs inside the /reg ;-)

I am having the same problem.I can't view any videos when windows media player is embedded in IE7. For some unknown reason I was able to view two videos today on msn video highlights but when I restarted my PC the problem came back. If the a way of going around this without messing with any default settings?I never had this problem.

My best guess it that you need to re-install windows from scratch!!!

I did this and everything seem to work for me now...

Problems:

Video is green...

Video dont work at all...

Active-X Error when loading video...

I just re-installed windows and after I updated everything the problem came back. Everything seems to work fine when I use older version and then the green screen comes when I update to the latest verisons.

I reinstalled Internet Explorer 7 and the problem went away.

But I recieved these two Automatic Update for Internet Explorer just 5 minutes ago after my laptop restarted, the green screen is back again.

Updates received today

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP (KB933566)

What is the point of an update if its purpose it to mess up you PC?I'm getting tired of this. It there a way to get technical support on this?
