Hi Anni,
Which edition of Visio are you running? UML reverse engineering is only included in the Professional and Enterprise Architect editions.

Hi All,
Sorry for late reply, as I didnt get any alert mails on my account , I didnt know that I have received answers for my queries.
Thanks a lot for your giving your valuable time.
I had to install Visual Studio 2005 before installing VISIO. so, problem is solved.
Thanks a lot.

I too have a problem with Visual Studio 2005 seeing Visio. I have Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003 SP2 loaded on my machine (Visio was loaded after I loaded Visual Studio 2005). I don't see the UML option anywhere on my Project menu in Visual Studio 2005. Interestingly enough, it appears on Visual Studio 2003. Any thoughts?
Hi Dog Boy,
Visio Pro 2003 supports only integration with Visual Studuo 2003 (Visual Studio 2005 was shipped after Visio Pro 2003). But Visio for Enterprise Architects 2005 supports integration with both versions of Visual Studio 2005 and 2003.

Need some help. I have Visio Pro 2003 SP1 and VisualStudio 2003. After doing a Reverse Engineering of C++ code using Project->VisioUml->ReverseEngineer, while the visio file is opened in Visio an error comes up saying "This UML shape exists on a drawing page which is not part of a UML diagram. This shape is designed to work in drawings created using Model Diagram Template" with an "Ok" button. After clicking the OK button Visio page appears with no drawings/diagrams in it.
Kindly help me how to over come this and be able to see class diagrams.
Thanks
