Search from IE 6 Address Bar

I cannot search from IE 6 Address Bar any longer, The defaults are set, and it used to display results in the main window; I can still go to a specific web site, example: I can typewww.microsoft.com and it will go to that site, but if I just type in "x", where x is my search name of an item, I get a page cannot be displayed and the address changes to:http:///?%x

Any suggestions to reset this and make it clean?

Are you saying that this behavior changed after installing Windows Desktop Search with Toolbar?

Win XP & MSIE 6 - the same problem. Resetting Web Settings and configuring the search using Customize button at the "search" panel doesn't work... After I typing something like "adfdf" in the address bar, it converts to http:///?%20adfdf.... How to return the address bar search ability?
