Hi

Does the email alerts are enabled on the server? Please cross check and let us know if the host and other information is correct the web.config file. Typically you can verify this in AT with the following steps:

Start IIS Manager

Expand Websites

Expand TeamFoundationServer

Select Services

On the right pane, right-click and select Explore. Open web.config in a notepad and verify the values there.

Thanks

From your other post on this topic, it looks like the issue was configuration of the SMTP settings for the server. Please let us know if you are still having problems with alerts.

Hi,

I am also facing the same problem.

I have checked all the settings such as smtp sever,web.config,etc. all r perfect.

But still I am not getting mail alerts.

I get the alert mail when i assigned the alert on any document. But when some body check-in/check-out or doing any changes

I am NOT getting the mail alerts.

Please help.

Thanks,

Ravi

Ravi, check post at http://blogs.msdn.com/narend/archive/2006/07/27/679571.aspx on "not getting emails", and that has all reasons I know of for not getting alerts. If the trouble is with work item alerts, you can try using that the tool in the blog to create subscriptions.
