Sample Templates

I downloaded the MSF Sample Tempates v3 and tried to open the MS Project files. I can't see nothing in there, altough the files are prety big. Can someone tell me how can I see for example the Gant chart?

Hmmmm.... The files from the Agile Zip in the "Master Schedule" folder opened just fine for me using MS Project 2003. If you can see the tasks but not Gantt then you probably need to scroll over to dates of the tasks (e.g., early 2004) -- project defaults to open to "today" and as such, the Gantt depiction of the tasks is well off the screen to the left (just scroll over).

If you are referring to files in the "Project Management" folder, it is right that the two files are blank -- they are built as part of using VSTS.

OK, I found them in the CMMI zip, nothing in the Agile zip.

Could you please post the link to the Agile zip that has them? or could you email me the mpp file? (niros2@hotmail.com)

Oh... my bad. I guess I looked at the CMMI ones (glad you found them and could open them). You are right, the Agile Zip does not have those files. It makes sense however, since the Agile process does not usually have collateral like that. Maybe Randy can chime in with a better answer.

Hi folks,

Mike is right, there are only minimal artifacts in the agile template (to keep it lightweight). One of the things that you may notice is that some of the templates are empty. These are to be filled in by the Team Foundation Server. For standalone users (without VSTS), we will post another set (send me a little "r" if you want them).

Hi Randy,

We are just starting with VSTS, i have read lot of documentation but really miss some end to end sample projects...:-(....are there still any plans for that? The new vpc of team system does not have any samples right?

I would be very greatful if you can forward me the MSF templates (without VSTS).....thanks in advance...
