Why there is a fork icon in my report folder?

Hi all,

I have a test project and I am the one to create the team project and the test project. In the Team Explorer, I find that there is a fork icon on the Report folder, and I cannot use the Report functions. What's wrong? How to solve it?

Thanks,

Leon

Could you confirm that this is TFS RTM? Are you accessing TFS within the network or over the internet? Are other users able to see the reports? Can you see your reports when you go to http://<ApplicationTier>/reports/ProjectName ?

yes, we use TFS RTM. We access TFS in a local LAN. Other users are able to see the reports. Even for me, when i create the team project, I can see the report. But after some time running, I suddently cannot not see it while a red fork over the report folder.

The same case happens to "Build" folder of my workmate's VSTS. But others can use the "Build" folder correctly without any problem. My workmate can also use the Build at first, but after some time running, it does not work but with a red fork icon on the Build folder.

Is it possible the cache problem of VSTS? For example, there are some temporary files under local machine that cause the problem.

Thanks,

Leon

More information.

When I open a team project, the Report folder "working ..." for a long time, and finally, there is a red fork icon over it and it becomes unavailable.

Hi Leon,

Are you still having these issues? Are others able to connect to the TFS application tier during the times that you get the red fork? I wonder if the the clients are having troubles connecting to the server - that is usually the reason for the red fork.

Thanks,

The members in the team still have such kind of problem sometimes. For the same application, someone could access while someone else has the red fork and unable to access.
