UPGRADE FAILED Unexpected Error: An internal error occurred on the report server.

When attempting to upgrade from Beta3 Refresh to RTM I encountered an error that I can't find my way around.

The error messge indicates that my account does not have the required reporting services rights. I've tried running the update using the TFSSetup account and a domain admin account with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should use an account that is an administrator on application-tier and data-tier servers when you run the upgrade utilities.

I've got a similar problem:

I'm trying to move my TFS installation from one server to another because the server it was on (beta 3 refresh) failed. The new server is TFS RTM so I took a backup of the databases and restored the Beta3 refresh versions over the top of the RTM ones on the new server. I'm now trying to upgrade but the server locations are all wrong - they point ot the old server. How do I replace all fields which contain "TEAMSYSTEM2" with "MKWISDOMDEV"?

Ouch. Start with these instructions on moving your data to another server: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252516.aspx. However, my recommendation would be to restore your server using Beta 3, make sure it's up and running, and then upgrade to RTM. It'll be more work, but it'll be easier to identify and resolve any issues that arise.
