hi matias,

we looked into your minidump and it is a known issue that is fixed on SQL Server 2005 SP1. We encourage you to upgrade to SP1 as it contains the fix to this particular issue, and a lot of other fixes, including performance fixes.

you can find more information about this here:

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/sp1.mspx

thanks!

I'm Eros from Italy and i have installed the Sql Server 2005 Express package (SQLEXPR_ADV_ITA.EXE and SQLEXPR_TOOLKIT_ITA.EXE).

Unfortunately the Reportservice stops all the time.

Can you tell me (please) the reason why ?

I send you one of the minidumps an the log file located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\ReportingServices\LogFiles.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

It may be a coincidence but in my case this symptom has started after I installed SQL server 2005 SP1. The most disturbing case for me is ...I have completely uninstalled SQL server 2005 including SSAS,SSIS, SSRS and native client and reinstalled for numerous time..problem still persists. It has happened to me in both SQL server 2005 servers I have.

Log files also showing the same thing as mentioned here above. I am running out of disk space in the SQL drive as OLAP log and mdmp files grows to 7gb in no time.

Please give me some direction guys. I am running against time for deliverables.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Saranya,

If you haven't already, it would be best to post your question on the Reporting services forum:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=82&SiteID=1

The only other thing I can think off is to look at the logging levels to see if they aren't turned up too high.

Thanks,

Hi Saranya,

From what you describe, it sounds like there is a problem with SQL Analysis Services. I will email some people on the AS team to take a look into this issue. Please email me the minidumps and logs at mauli.shah@(donotspam)microsoft.com. these will be located at: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Log\*.mdmp, *log

Additionally, please post your issue to the Analysis Services forum since they have more domain knowledge than we do - you might get a faster response that way:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=83&SiteID=1

Thanks!
