If I try to create a new sharepoint site from the administrator it says the web has been created but as soon as I click on the URL to edit the template, it says error 404 page not found. I installed sharepoint services with sp2. I checked the port and its ok. I've upgraded the site with the tool stsadm and reboot and nothing...

please help

Did you installed SPS as Server Farm? the account you're using to create the project has permissions to create new portal in SPS?

I triead a lot of stuff with no success. Finally I had to format the server and start fresh with the steps in the installation guide. Now it works fine.

Thanks
