Unhandled Exception when moving mouse of Cider designer

Hi,

I have a problem with Cider where I get Cider's unhandled Exception dialog popping up when I first open the page, and then every time I move the mouse over the page. The page seems to display fine, but the dialog comes up every time I try to do anything with it.

This page was first designed as part of a Windows Forms VS Project - and I wasn't having any errors then, but then I moved it into a newly created WinFX Windows Application project, and that was when the errors started. I seem to get the error whenever I go to the designer for any Xaml. The Page that I'm trying to design opens fine in Interactive Designer.

I did delete the default App.xaml and Window.xaml from the project. Would that have made a difference?

Would it be possible for you to post a sample that reproduces this problem? Most likely deleting the myapp.xaml or window1.xaml files that are created as part of the template are not the problem.

Thanks!

Sam,

This manifestation is similar to something we've seen when the design surface cannot instantiate controls from the toolbox. Sounds weird, I know, but...

Could you make sure that the selection arrow is selected on the toolbox before moving the mouse over the design surface?

Could you try resetting the toolbox (right click and select reset, or go into Tools | Options and reset it there).

thanks
chad
