Setup Issue - failing to connect to Report Server

Hello All,
Just wanted to give you a heads-up for an issue I encountered during TFS (RTM) setup - dual server installation.
First some background (short) on my setup:
After installing the DB machine I gave it an Alias (CNAME) in the DNS server, this in order to support a fail over scenario (i.e. if the DB machine, fail I will have a secondary DB machine, ready and beside restoring the database the only configuration I will have to do is to modify the CNAME record to point to the new save)
real machine name: SrvSql05
CNAME: TFSDatabaseTier

Anyway, During the Application Tier install it wants to know the name of the DB Tier server,
I specified the full DNS name (CNAME):
TFSDatabaseTier.MyDomain.Local

the health check passes but the setup to fail at a relatively late stage (when trying to configure the reporting server). In one of my attempts the setup program actually crashed (sent the Dr. Watson thingy...)
As it turns out, it is not ok to specify the full DNS name as the application tier (at least during setup).
you should specify the partial name (in my case TFSDatabaseTier or SrvSql05).

BTW - I know about the RenameDT thing, but still I believe in a logical mapping (I map stuff to CNAMEs and map the CNAME to the physical)
