OTP: help with removing Vista and installing XP

i currently have windows vista installed on my computer and i want to reinstall windows XP. I have the windows XP system disk, the problem is when i have vista up and running and i put the disk in it doesn't give me the option to install it. For some reason my computer won't give me the option to boot from the disk.

if somebody could please tell me how to reformat the harddrive and install XP it would be greatly appreciated. when i try to reformat the harddrive it says it is currently being used so it can't.

You probably need to go into your BIOS and set it to boot from CD. You can set your BIOS options during boot, usually a message comes up telling you what keys to press to edit the BIOS.

However, this sort of question is totally off topic here. If you can't work out how to fix your BIOS, you need to find a consumer level forum in which to seek more help.
