MS Project Mapping Problem

I'm getting an error if I try to add a custom field to the MS Project mapping. The mapping loads up just fine with TFSFieldMapping.exe, but when I try to choose a Team Project from within MS Project Professional, I get a TF82025 error saying the field name in the mapping is not supported and must be renamed.

This is the entry in the FieldMapping.xml field that seems to offend.

<MappingWorkItemTrackingFieldReferenceName="MyCo.LogicalArea"ProjectField="pjTaskText8" />

Are custom fields not supported in the MS Project mapping?

Also, the same problem seems to arise if you try to map any fieldref (MS fields included) to a pjTaskEnterpriseText Project field. The docs says you can - is this not the case?

Thanks in advance

Bernie,

You should be able to map custom fields to fields in Project. Can you send your work item type definition file that includes the field MyCo.LogicalArea?

We do not support mapping to pjTaskEnterprise fields which are native to Project Serrver. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181691.aspx

Note If you are using Microsoft Project Server, there are additional fields with "Enterprise" in the name, such as pjTaskEnterpriseCost1. Team Foundation does not publish or refresh data to Server, therefore these field names are not supported.

Thanks!
