We installed the english version of tfs workgroup edition and now, the german version is available we thought about installing this version. We allready have multiple team projects within tfs. Our plan was to install the german version right over the english version.
Can you guys confirm, that′s it′s possible, or not?

We got a similar problem. We got some projects on a RC TFS Server and since there is a german version avaiable we want to "move" to that version. We installed the german version (on a different machine; german win2003) and i tried to restore the Team Foundation Server data as described in the helpfile. This worked well up to the point were you have to build the TFSWarehouse. I got an error in the date dimension while processing the warehouse; some kind of converting error

So the question is: Is it possible to move to a server with a different language? And if, what do you have to do? How can this be achieved?

Hi there. It is *not* possible to install a German TFS right on top of an English TFS. You will need a tool that we are going to release in a couple of weeks. Please ping me directly if you wish to try it before it's public.

Hi,
you will be able to achieve a migration between English TFS and German TFS (or any of the other languages we release) but it will require a tool. The current plan is to release it in a couple of weeks.
However you will still need to migrate your English TFS RC to an English TFS RTM version. Form there, and with the help of the tool, you will be able to migrate to a German one.
