Please Help. I have successfully used the VS 2005 Beta 2 to install to my Pentium 3 laptop.

Am trying to use same 3 DVD set to install VS 2005 to my brand new PC (Pentium D, Windows XP Media Center op system).

Install fails on step 1 (Installing .NET Framework 2.0). Progress bar completely fills, then install says Its installing the component. Computer sat for an hour and did nothing.

I suspect the install fails due to the Pentium D processor or the XP Media Center op system or both. Can't find any reference in the KB or literature on a possible fix or go 'round. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.
